These lobsters were a Christmas gift for my sister. They are pretty large, so I decided to included a close up of one of them. These are my kids favorite paintings so far due to the intensive 'how to be a Mainer training' they are undergoing.

This painting of my son was done this fall for his grandparents to go with Hadley's portrait. It was a beautiful end of the day boat ride just outside of York Harbor in Maine.

This is a painting I did this fall of my daughter Hadley for her grandparents. I loved the challenge of painting a person, especially someone I see everyday. In this painting she is enjoying herself at the Harbor Beach in York. Stay tuned for one of her brother!

Lemons

The second installment of my kitchen painting project. These lemons remind me of summer. Lemons should always be served with rum to ward off scurvy. I think I may try an eggplant for the last painting of the set.

Not only are artichokes beautiful, but they are absolutely my favorite food! The best thing about painting your favorite food, is you get to eat the subject when you're done. This little painting is going to go in my kitchen with 2 other paintings that are in the works.

This painting was inspired by visits to the beach in South Carolina. I was mostly interested in how the light changed the shadows as it passed through the grasses and around the dunes.
